Coin cell and battery holders is used to load button battery, which is generally welded on PCB board to facilitate button battery power supply module clock or other consumer electronic products.

How to identify the positive and negative poles of button battery base
Generally, the button battery marked with "+" is the positive pole, and the back is the negative pole. The shell at the edge of the button battery is also positive, so most button batteries loaded on the button battery base are positive upward, because there are metal shrapnel at the side end of the button battery base to prevent the button battery from falling out. This is the positive electrode metal shrapnel, which will cling to the positive electrode edge of the button battery. Due to the large-area electrode contact of the positive electrode metal shrapnel, effectively improve the stability of electrode contact. If the positive and negative poles of the button battery are replaced, the battery can also be stuck, but the battery will be short circuited.
How to remove the battery from the button battery holder
The accessories with button battery base on the product are easy to replace the old and new button batteries. The metal shrapnel can be moved easily. If you look carefully, you can find the method to take out the button battery. Some button battery base designs may need a small insulating plastic sheet to assist in taking out the button battery.
