Trunk Lid Strut Replacement | Gerd's Home Page
2002 Mercedes SLK 230 (R170 Chassis). After nine years, the trunk lid wasn't staying up anymore. The replacement struts were available at Car Quest (no free Mercedes Dealer latte). To get the old ones off, just use a small screw driver to remove the clip. Strut Clip Removal and pull off the strut: New strut snaps on.
