Company Summary Eckold Ltd
In 1936 Walter Eckold founded the Eckold company in Wernigerode / Germany for producing forming machines for sheetmetal tubes and profiles.
Production and development of various machines ranging from simple hand held tools to fully automatic multi functional machines, for cold forming sheetmetal, tubes, profiles and the world renowned Eckold Clinching technique for joining.
The Biegetechnik (profile bending) is the sub-contract division of the Eckold group, specialising in the precision bending of open and closed profile sections from steel and aluminium.
Eckold AG in Switzerland was founded in 1957 and is located in Trimmis, 120 km south east of Zürich and has today 40 employees. This company takes care of the sales and service of the Eckold products overseas and in some European countries. The small forming machines of the Eckold range and the new Hit-Clinch technique are manufactured by Eckold AG. In addition, Eckold AG is wholesaler within Switzerland for utility vehicle accessories, gas springs, safety gratings, adhesives, adjustable sideguards, cargo control and track, handles, hinges, door seals, transportation bars- clothes and roof ventilators.
Eckold-Clinching is the innovative and proven technique for joining sheet metal, tubes and profiles. The permanent joint is created by cold forming of the parts alone, without the use of additional or ancillary material. The product range includes universal forming tools, flanging, seam closing, clinching and hit clinching tools.
