Our crop conveyor belts are generally made as follows: The round steel rod is cut to length according to the conveyor width, the rod ends are heated, forged/ flattened & rivet holes punched at the ends. Rivet retaining plates are placed between the traction belt's underside profile and rivets inserted into plates & belting.
