sarah ashe

art making has been an important means of expression for me since childhood. the color, rhythm and texture of brush strokes and scratchings, repeating shapes, three dimensional vessels and whimsical creations… are the vocabulary that anchors my art. much of my work has centered on social concern: hurricanes katrina and irene, death and dying, and lately the refugee crisis.
